Select Page Margins and then Vertical, Right. The number will look something like this: 6. Select the text box and select Text Direction from the Drawing Tools, Format menu. Clean up the number formatting with the normal page tools on the HOME tab such as sizing the font and aligning the page number to the right.
How is this possible? If you go to this page That picture is exactly what I'm trying to do. The instructions say, 'Add the document title so the header reads, for example: Joe's favourite poems, left justified, and page x with right justification, where x is the value of the Page Number field. Consider using a tab to separate the title from the page number.' I don't see how this can be done! When I align the title, the page number follows and the same is true for the other way around. Please explain to me how this can be done?

Acknak wrote:Right, changing the margins can muck up the layout. I believe the tab stops are set when you enable/insert the header/footer, so as long as you set the page layout first, then enable the header/footer, you'll get nice left/center/right layout with no extra steps.
Otherwise, you can adjust the tabs by changing the 'Header' or 'Footer' paragraph styles. You're right, it does. I had tested by inserting a header, then deleting it before changing the margin, but in a fresh document, if the margins are changed before inserting a header, the tab stops do adjust to the margins.
