Generally, the custom bundle discount applies to any order that includes multiple plugins. However, there are a few exceptions which might explain why you are either not receiving the custom bundle discount, or the custom bundle discount you are receiving is for a different amount than you initially expected:. You are using an education voucher. Education vouchers cannot be combined with the custom bundle discount. You are upgrading or crossgrading a plugin or plugins in your order.
Any plugin in your cart that is already discounted as part of an upgrade or crossgrade will not be factored in to the amount you receive for a custom bundle discount. You are purchasing one or more $9 plugins. Due to their low price, any plugin that costs $9 is not factored in to the custom bundle discount you ultimately receive. You are using a voucher code. Certain promotions with voucher codes that discount a plugin also make that plugin ineligible for additional discounts. A message will appear in in this situation.
We get quite a few requests like this. First of all, congrats on the hit! Seriously, that is cool, and we know how much work and talent it requires. Sorry, but we don’t send voucher codes or free plugins simply “because you mixed a hit”. In fact, most of our users work on serious projects, run studios, play in bands, etc. We know it’s expensive to build a studio, even if it’s nowhere near as expensive as it used to be some years ago.
But making software and maintaining compatibility for it over the years takes a lot of effort, time and money. We have to charge for the products that we offer. We do send out a variety of promotions to our email list, so be sure to to receive those announcements.
Also, we have Custom Bundle Discounts in place, so you get a discount whenever you buy more than 1 plugin in our store. If you buy 5 or more plugins we’ll give you 50% off—that’s as much of a discount as most companies will give to VIPs.
We do it because, to us, everybody who buys 5 or more plugins is a VIP. Yes, you are permitted to transfer your plugin licenses. Once you know the person you are wishing to transfer the plugin to, please make sure that the buyer has created an account. Also make sure he or she is aware that there is a $20 per plugin license transfer fee (capped at $50). The buyer will have to pay this before they can start using the plugins in their Plugin Alliance account. You can select multiple licenses to transfer, but only one person to transfer to.
If you want to transfer licenses to different people, do them one person at a time. You can only transfer 10 licenses per month. You cannot transfer inactive licenses, free licenses, licenses with a fee required, licenses that were previously transferred to you, and the same plugin can only be transferred twice. If you have a license for a multiple versions of a plugin (for example, bxdigital V2 and bxdigital V3), then those licenses cannot be transferred separately. If there are abnormal circumstances that requires you to transfer more than 10 Plugins then you can contact Customer Support to help you with the process.
The same transfer rules as above will apply. Support and Troubleshooting. If you are trying to activate your plugins and are getting the message “Your License Has Expired”, here is what you can try: Click “I’m Online” and proceed with authorizing your plugins.
There is a bug in which users get the wrong prompt when trying to start a trial, but then they are still able to start the trial with no problems. If you go through the activation process and the activation prompt appears again, please click “Quit” and check the plugin window to see if it still says “Activation required”. If it doesn’t, you’re all set. Mono vs Stereo Versions If you’re a ProTools user, the most common cause of this problem is a mono/stereo mismatch.
If you’re inserting a mono effect (like an EQ) on a stereo track, be sure to also look in the “multi-mono plug-in” category, instead of the “multichannel plug-in” category. Also, in many common DAWs, if you’re using a plugin that is exclusively for processing a stereo signal (like the bxshredspread or bxcontrol V2), you won’t find it in the plugin list on a mono track. So please make sure to look for your plugins on both mono and stereo tracks in order to make sure that it is installed on your system and is being recognized by your host. Bit Depth Architecture on Windows If you’re on Windows, be sure you picked the right installer (32- or 64-bit). The plugin’s bit architecture has to match that of your DAW, which is not necessarily the same as that of your OS. If you’re not sure which one is supported on your DAW, just install both of them.
RTAS Format We have dropped support for RTAS, so our current plugin versions won’t work in ProTools 9 or earlier. If you can upgrade to a new version of ProTools, you can, and we may be able to provide an earlier version that includes RTAS support.
Also, if you’re using ProTools 10, be sure you have version 10.3.10 or later. On rare occasions, your license file can be corrupted. If you think this may have happened to you, you can delete your license file. This will not cause you to lose your licenses.
You will just need to reactivate your plugin the next time you use it, so it can regenerate your license file. To find your license file on macOS, go to the Finder and click on “Go’, then “Go to Folder”, and enter the following file path, exactly as written below: /Library/Application Support/ Windows users, please go to this file path:%USERPROFILE% AppData Roaming You can then look through the resulting directory, find the folder named “Plugin Alliance” and drag it to the trash.
The next time you open your DAW and go to activate your plugins, you will simply need to activate again, which will create a new license file on your machine. If the activation server doesn’t seem to recognize that you have a paid license for a plugin, please first check to be certain that you installed the right plugin. Some of our plugins look similar and have similar names (like the bxopto and the bxopto pedal).
If you are certain you have the right plugin, next check to see if you inadvertently created a second Plugin Alliance account. The activation server will report that you don’t have a license if you don’t enter the same login credentials you used when you purchased your license. Finally, if none of that helps, you can remove the license file from your hard drive. Don’t worry, this won’t cause you to lose an activation, or change your deletion count. It will just force the plugin to check in with our server, and then generate a new license file. To find your license file on macOS, just go to the Finder, click on the 'Go' menu, click on 'Go to folder.' And then paste in this file path, exactly as it appears below: /Library/Application Support/ Or if you’re on Windows, go to this file path, where me is your Window user name: C: Users me AppData Roaming Either way, look through this directory to find the folder named “Plugin Alliance” and then throw it away.
Then try to activate your plugin again. If you get the message “Activation server did not respond” when activating your plugin, make sure that you don’t have any apps running in the background that block certain internet connections. Our plugins communicate using standard web protocols, so a typical firewall shouldn’t block plugin activation. If disabling any blocking software doesn’t help, you can just do the offline actrivation procedure instead. Here are instructions: If the activation window isn’t already open, click on the key icon on the lower right corner of the window. Next click the “I’m offline” button, and then click “Save to file” to save your machine ID.
Then open a web browser, go to, click ”Choose file”, and upload that machine ID file that you just saved. Click “Activate”. Now click “Download license file” at the bottom of the page and you’ll get a file named “pa.license”. Go back to your plugin and click on the “open license” button in the plugin window, and select the license file you just downloaded.
Then click “Activate”. ProTools makes users activate our plugins as soon as you launch it, instead of waiting until you actually use the plugin in a session, like other DAWs.
You should be able to just click “I’m online” or “I’m offline” and follow the instructions in the to activate your plugin, and then that prompt will stop appearing. As long as “Activate all my licenses” is selected, you’ll only have to do this once for all the Plugin Alliance plugins that are installed. But if you click “Quit” you’ll have to go through each individual plugin before ProTools will continue loading. Please note that if you do click Quit, ProTools will incorrectly report that your new plugin is invalid. You can ignore this message. If the activation prompt is causing problems in ProTools, you can just to activate in a different DAW, and then come back to ProTools. That will work because once you activate in one DAW, your plugins are activated in every DAW.

This affected the HMF and HF bands. The bug is now fixed in version 1.1.1. So if you were in the middle of a session when you updated from version 1.1 to 1.1.1, you may have noticed that you’re now hearing less gain boost or cut than you were before. If this is the case, we recommend that you do one of the following workarounds:. Go through all instances of bxconsole E in sessions that were created using version 1.1, and increase your gain adjustments to the HMF and HF knobs as needed. and request an installer for version 1.1 so you can revert to this version when opening sessions that were created with it. We apologize for the inconvenience.
